Cid told him that Rinoa was controlled by a future sorceress, and has lost her spirit. No one could save her then, she may die.
Until hearing that bad news which sent a shock right through his mind, he finally realized what Rinoa really meant to him and how much he needed her.
He began to recall the experience that he has gone through with Rinoa...
